Our History and Our Mission
TR Equipment develops, manufactures and markets aids for patients with extensive care needs, low mobility and severe disabilities. With a focus on hygiene, safety and user-friendliness, we offer one of the market’s widest ranges of shower trolleys and other hygiene aids for healthcare.
Our history
TR Equipment has its roots in 1980s Sweden, where we laid the foundation for what is today a global brand in patient hygiene – with a focus on innovation, quality and long-term commitment. Through decades of development, manufacturing and close collaboration with healthcare providers worldwide, we have built a strong reputation and trust within the industry.
- 1985 KEBO introduced the patient hygiene product segment and began manufacturing height-adjustable bathtubs, shower trolleys and patient lifts. The foundation of these products came from Samarite AB in Härnösand, which was acquired the same year.
- The products were marketed under the KEBO name until 1990, when the TR Equipment brand took over.
- Since then, the product range has expanded to include height-adjustable bathtubs, shower trolleys, mobile bath lifts and shower chairs – designed for patients with extensive care needs and low mobility.
- All products are manufactured in Sweden and sold through our subsidiaries in the USA, United Kingdom and Germany, as well as through a global network of more than 40 distributors.
- In December 2021, TR Equipment AB became part of the Midaq AB Group, headquartered in Jönköping.
Users of all ages and needs
Our target group ranges from young children to heavier users, including bariatric adults. All TR shower trolleys feature renowned Swedish design with high usability and smart functions. TR shower trolleys and our other aids are designed to provide the highest level of safety for both patients and caregivers, while allowing staff to easily clean and disinfect the equipment after use.
The aids we offer are constructed with high quality and durable materials, built on a framework of corrosion-resistant materials and stainless steel, designed for long-lasting performance.
TR Equipment maintains strict controls to ensure the quality of its design by carrying out all metalwork in-house.
